“The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has declared a large-scale virtual auction for cargo that has exceeded its stay at the Port of Mombasa. According to an official statement, the auction will span seven days, commencing on Monday, August 14 and concluding on Sunday, August 20.

The assortment of items up for auction encompasses vehicles, batches of household items, electronic gadgets, and furniture. Prospective bidders are instructed to access the auction platform using their KRA iTax PIN and iTax Password.

KRA has made it clear that the bidding price for each item will be definitive, and no additional taxes will be applied. However, individuals who secure a winning bid will need to undertake the NTSA registration at their own cost.

The prices for the items are explicitly stated on the KRA auction website.”
