President William Ruto has announced fresh government appointments, designating Prof. Collins Odote Oloo as the new Non-Executive Chairperson of the Council of Legal Education for a three-year term. In a gazette notice dated October 5, 2023, the President has also reconfigured the Advisory Committee on the Power of Mercy, introducing seven new members: Dr. Lorna Mutoro Mumelo, Patrick Musau Musila, John Kutswa Olaka, Dr. Edward Kibiwott Boor, Rev. Humpton Rogers Namu, Bishar Maalim Abdullahi, and Jane Wanjiru Kuria.

Additionally, Treasury Cabinet Secretary Prof. Njuguna Ndung’u has appointed former Kisumu West Member of Parliament Olago Aluoch as the Chairperson of the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) Board, and Mr. Aluoch, along with Janet Teiyaa and Masitsa Naomi Shiyonga, will serve on the NG-CDF board for three years. CS Ndung’u has also added Paul Mwiti Mucheke as a member of the Kenya Trade Network Agency Board.

In the health sector, Cabinet Secretary Wafula Nakhumicha has appointed Allyce Kureiya Esintelle as a member of the Kenya Medical Training College board and Jawahira Hussein Haji as a member of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Tissue and Transplant Authority, both for a three-year tenure.

Lastly, Agriculture CS Mithika Linturi has nominated Francis Lesas to be a member of the Kenya Tsetse and Trypanosomiasis Eradication Council for a period of three years.
