Occupants of Laikipia County have been forewarned against purchasing uninspected meat, in a bid to forestall zoonotic sicknesses following a spike in instances of poaching in the country.

As per Laikipia Region Chief Joseph Kanyiri, four thought poachers who have been providing zebra and impala meat to a few butcheries in Laikipia North, have been captured and are anticipating arraignment for unlawful poaching.

Furthermore, the chief approached occupants to cooperate with security specialists, in recognizing those behind the offer of game meat to clueless merchants.
